Platform overview

Zealy is a community quest platform built around successful claims, XP, member levels, and leaderboard rank. Communities use a questboard for recurring contributions, shorter campaigns, trading competitions, or open reward opportunities, making member progression more central than a portable credential system.

Claim review determines XP and role rewards

A member submits a claim after completing a quest. Fully automatic quests resolve as successful or failed, but a claim containing a manually reviewed task stays pending until a reviewer, editor, or administrator decides it. Only successful claims earn XP or role rewards.

Reviewers can approve, reject, star, or flag a claim. A star also identifies a top contributor, while a flag rejects the claim and adds a flag to the member profile. Communities can add bonus XP during review, so rank can reflect both preset rewards and recognition for a stronger contribution.

XP turns completed quests into rank and sprint placement

Successful claims issue XP when a quest includes it. XP raises a member’s level and leaderboard position; ties go to the member who reached the total first. A sprint creates a separate, time-limited leaderboard, counting only XP from its included quests during the sprint window.

A sprint can distribute Zaps or USDC proportionally by sprint XP, or through configured rank tiers. A community can run only one active sprint, and published dates, reward zone, and pool size cannot be edited once a reward-pool sprint launches. Those rules make the selected quest set decisive for which contributions can earn sprint rewards.

Automatic rewards stop short of community token payouts

Zealy quests can reward XP, Discord roles, Zaps, USDC, tokens, or custom prizes. XP, roles, and USDC are delivered automatically after a successful claim; a Discord role also needs a linked Discord account and membership in the community server. Zaps are Zealy points that members can spend on lootboxes with prizes such as tokens, memecoins, and NFTs.

USDC is locked from the community balance when a supported reward is created, then returned if an unpublished, archived, or deleted quest has not distributed it all. Token and custom rewards remain the community’s responsibility after winners are chosen. A successful claim can therefore settle XP, a role, or Zealy-managed USDC without guaranteeing that a community-provided token prize has already been delivered.

Galxe favors eligibility rules over community rank

Galxe is the close alternative when a project needs reusable credentials based on wallet activity, allowlists, social identity, or earlier participation before a reward claim. Zealy can validate claims against linked identities and chain-specific wallets, but its distinctive loop is reviewed contribution, XP accumulation, and sprint competition. Account continuity matters: deleting a Zealy account permanently removes its XP and progress.
