Solscan

Solscan indexes the Solana blockchain for searchable accounts, blocks, transactions, tokens, and program activity. Its Solana-specific view is more useful than an EVM-style explorer when an investigation depends on SPL-token accounts, invoked programs, and account relationships.

Transaction summaries lead into program instructions

An account page can show SOL and SPL-token balances, individual token amounts, displayed values, and recorded activity. A transaction view connects a signature to its block, time, outcome, signer, and fee, while SOL transfers also identify sender, receiver, and the change in SOL amount.

Solscan then breaks a transaction into its main actions and exposes the invoked program, encoded instruction data, accounts read or written, and inner instructions. That layered view matters because one Solana transaction can call several programs and touch several accounts: the summary shows the visible result while instruction details show the component calls behind it.

Labels and analytics add Solana-specific context

Account and token views combine holdings and transfers with indexed DeFi activity. Solscan labels addresses as projects, exchanges, domains, exploit-related accounts, or behavior-based categories. Behavior labels use onchain measures including NFT activity, holding duration, swap volume and frequency, liquidity deposits, staking volume, and fee spending.

When several labels apply, domain-name, project, exchange, and exploit-related labels take priority over a quantitative behavior label. The analytics area also tracks transactions, TPS, fees, blocks, validators, votes, program and account usage, stablecoins, and other network measures.

Pro API coverage has practical historical limits

Solscan Pro supplies API-keyed account, token, NFT, transaction, block, market, program, export, and monitoring endpoints. Account queries can include transfers, token accounts, history, portfolio, stake information, and indexed DeFi activity; token queries include holders, metadata, markets, prices, and activity.

It is not a complete archive for every endpoint. Transfer history is limited to three years, balance-change and DeFi-activity data to six months, and price and market-cap data carry a three-minute delay. The API is mainnet-only, does not support testnet, and limits its token list to the top 2,000 tokens by market capitalization.
