Platform overview

Polkastarter connects early-stage projects with early community members through IDOs and allowlist sales. Its launchpad is built around POLS Power, making the POLS token's staking and qualifying-liquidity roles part of access rather than a separate reward feature.

POLS Power as the route into IDOs

An IDO is not simply an unrestricted token-purchase page on Polkastarter. A participant can need an allowlist place, identity verification and POLS Power before joining a sale, so accumulating the access metric alone does not make a wallet eligible for every raise.

Projects retain their own sale and allocation details. The project area lists individual raises, which means the rules around a particular token purchase remain project-specific even when the participant has completed the broader POLS Power and allowlist steps.

Staking or liquidity positions to gain access

Users can gain POLS Power immediately by staking POLS, although the staked tokens are locked for seven days. That gives a holder a direct token-based route to launchpad access, with a defined period during which the position cannot be unlocked.

The other route is providing liquidity to the ETH/POLS pool on Uniswap or the BNB/POLS pool on PancakeSwap. Those positions can earn POLS Power alongside liquidity-provider fees, but access is then tied to an external paired-token position and its pool economics rather than a simple POLS stake.

The launchpad within a wider POLS product family

Polkastarter retains a Legacy Launchpad entry point while its current main presentation also emphasizes an onchain marketplace for authenticated trading cards, video games and collectibles. The marketplace uses onchain escrow, and POLS is presented as a token for owning, trading and earning rewards within that broader direction.

POLS staking, a bridge, project listings, a dashboard and a portfolio area place the launchpad within a wider set of POLS-linked products. That can matter to a holder using both the launchpad and the marketplace, but it also means early-stage offerings are no longer the brand's only public focus.

A different allocation model from CoinList

CoinList is a close alternative for someone choosing between early token-sale systems. Its Zama offering used a sealed-bid Dutch auction that set a clearing price from demand, rather than Polkastarter's access design based on POLS Power and allowlisting.

Polkastarter is most relevant to users prepared to hold, stake or provide qualifying liquidity around POLS and to complete the sale's eligibility process. A buyer who does not want a seven-day token lock or a qualifying liquidity position may prefer a launchpad whose access rules do not use POLS Power.
