Magic Eden
Airdrop Discovery & Tracking Platforms →An NFT marketplace supporting fixed-price purchases and offers on Solana.
Platform overview
Magic Eden is an NFT marketplace centred on Solana collection trading, with buying, selling, collection and item offers, bulk listings, minting experiences and advanced trading views. Its Solana market supports formats including Metaplex Core, Token-2022, compressed NFTs, inscriptions and SPL-20.
Listings, offers and a dedicated SOL bidding wallet
A seller can list one item or bulk-list several with one price or separate prices. A holder can also accept an existing collection offer for an instant sale rather than wait for a buyer to choose a listing. Item-level offers are funded from a dedicated SOL escrow wallet in the marketplace profile, so one funded balance can support several bids.
That escrow distinguishes an active offer from an item listing: capital is allocated before a seller accepts, while a listing waits for a buyer’s wallet transaction. Cancelled offers leave SOL in the bidding wallet until it is withdrawn. Offers expire and do not disappear automatically merely because an NFT was sold or delisted, while the displayed net offer can reflect royalties and maker fees.
AMM pools quote a sequence of collection trades
Magic Eden’s Solana AMM pools can be buy-side, sell-side or double-sided. Instead of entering each collection bid or listing individually, an operator chooses starting prices, quantities, a linear or exponential price increment and an LP fee. The pool then holds SOL for buys and NFTs for sells along its selected curves.
Successive purchases move a buy-side pool’s price down its curve; successive sales move a sell-side pool’s price up its curve. The space between the curves sets the position’s spread. This makes the pool a collection market-making position, rather than a passive display of individual NFTs, and is a material distinction from a standard listings-and-offers market.
Royalties change with the collection and chain
Magic Eden charges no listing fee and applies a marketplace transaction fee. On Solana collections that have not adopted MIP-1, buyers can choose full, half or no royalty, with full selected by default. On Ethereum, Polygon, Base and Bitcoin Ordinals, creator-payment treatment follows the collection and chain-specific market instead of that Solana option.
ERC721-C collections on EVM use LimitBreak’s Payment Processor for enforced royalties; outside that standard, seller-set royalties can be optional. OpenSea is the relevant alternative for a collector needing a broader NFT-chain list, Seaport trait or private orders, or Studio drop tools. Magic Eden is more specifically shaped for Solana formats, SOL bidding escrow and curve-based collection market making.
