Platform overview
Braiins Pool is a Bitcoin-only SHA-256 pool for ASIC miners. It combines an account-and-worker operating model with FPPS rewards that include the Bitcoin block subsidy and transaction fees, then routes earned rewards through Financial Accounts and configured payout rules.
ASIC setup uses an account, User ID and worker name
Braiins identifies SHA-256 ASIC hardware as the efficient route for Bitcoin mining; GPU, CPU and mobile-phone mining are not supported as efficient Bitcoin-mining methods. A Braiins Pool account is required before a device can be connected.
Each device uses a mandatory User ID made from the account username and a worker name. Leaving the worker name blank causes an automatic worker to be created, while separate worker names are recommended when device-level monitoring matters. A newly connected device can take up to an hour to show its full hashing power in the dashboard.
One pool URL, with a firmware caveat for Stratum V2
Braiins says it uses one pool URL and automatically selects servers according to the miner’s location. The pool dashboard can show recent hashrate, and worker monitoring can alert by email or mobile app when five-minute effective-hashrate snapshots fall below an automatic or manually set limit.
The separately documented Stratum V2 path requires Braiins OS firmware. A miner should therefore confirm the current endpoint instructions and firmware compatibility before selecting that protocol rather than assuming every ASIC can use it.
FPPS includes transaction fees and supports reward splits
Under the documented FPPS model, daily rewards are calculated from network-wide block production as if an average of 144 blocks had been mined. The calculation includes coinbase-reward and transaction-fee portions tied to accepted shares, then deducts the pool fee; the documented model therefore shares transaction-fee proceeds with miners.
Rewards are stored in Financial Accounts. One account is created at sign-up by default, but reward splits can distribute rewards among any number of Financial Accounts. The published fee schedule is operationally material and should be checked before directing hashrate.
Payout rules determine when a Financial Account pays
A miner must register a payout address and set a payout rule to collect rewards, although mining can begin before the address is registered. Rules can pay daily, weekly or monthly, or when a chosen balance threshold is reached; eligible payouts are created once daily at 09:00 UTC, and an immediate payout can be requested above the minimum payout limit.
Braiins documents both on-chain BTC and Lightning payouts. Regular Lightning payouts need a wallet that supports a Lightning Address and are triggered daily; manual Lightning withdrawals use a pasted invoice, are limited to once per 24 hours and are processed within 60 minutes. Thresholds are configurable per Financial Account, so the documentation does not establish one universal numeric threshold.
A Bitcoin-specific operating model beside F2Pool
F2Pool is the material contrast because it publishes separate coin surfaces whose algorithm, Stratum endpoint, fee, reward method and payout threshold can differ by asset. Braiins Pool instead presents a Bitcoin-only SHA-256 setup with one location-selecting pool URL, account workers and a documented FPPS reward flow.
That narrower scope can suit a Bitcoin ASIC operator who wants worker-level monitoring, reward splits and configurable Financial Account payout rules. It also makes the current pool fee, payout rule, firmware and connection instructions practical checks before allocating hash rate.
