Platform overview

Binance.US is BAM Trading Services’ distinct U.S. exchange, built for residents of currently supported states who want custodial spot trading, crypto transfers, and optional staking. Its state-by-state access and product set are separate from Binance.com.

U.S. spot trading with advanced order controls

The exchange combines simple Buy, Sell, and Convert flows with Advanced Trading. Advanced Trading uses the open order book and supports market, limit, stop-limit, OCO, post-only, iceberg, and time-in-force orders across USDT, BTC, and ETH quote pairs; USD-pair access depends on the state and service.

Convert is for a direct quoted exchange between account assets. It charges no explicit trading fee, but its quote includes a spread, unlike Advanced Trading’s order-book pricing.

State availability shapes USD access

Binance.US is available in many states and Puerto Rico, but not nationwide. Kansas and Wisconsin are crypto-only: customers can deposit, withdraw, trade, convert, and stake crypto, but cannot link a bank account or use BAM USD deposits and withdrawals.

Those customers can use a third-party Top Up flow to buy USDT with USD, but that is not a Binance.US USD deposit service. Elsewhere, bank, card, and USD-balance purchase routes can still vary by account and jurisdiction.

Staking from an exchange balance

Eligible customers can stake selected proof-of-stake assets through third-party custody and staking providers. Network rewards are reduced by Binance.US’s service fee, and most rewards are distributed weekly and restaked unless the customer opts out.

A staked balance cannot be traded or transferred during processing, bonding, or unbonding. Those periods vary by network and can extend from days to weeks; the listed standard staking fee range is 9.95% to 39.95% of rewards.

Custodial balances and a spot-only product set

Customer crypto and USD are held for customers’ benefit in omnibus arrangements rather than in wallets controlled by the account holder. Binance.US does not offer margin, says it does not lend customer assets, and says it does not conduct proprietary trading.

That makes it a more focused U.S. custodial spot exchange than a broad derivatives platform. Its useful distinction is the combination of advanced spot controls, on-chain transfers, and state-specific access—not a Binance.com product catalogue.
