Platform overview
NiceHash is a hashrate marketplace connecting buyers of mining work with miners who connect their own hardware. A buyer rents hash rate and directs it to a selected pool through an order, rather than selecting a fixed cloud-mining contract from a provider catalog.
Buyers configure a live marketplace order
An order specifies the algorithm, market, chosen pool, price per unit of hash rate and total BTC spend; a buyer can also set a maximum speed. NiceHash states that total spend determines the order duration, so the relevant commitment is a live order balance and its terms rather than a fixed Bitdeer-style plan period.
The order view shows its pool details, price, spend and remaining balance. An order priced too low may receive no assigned hash rate, making both the selected price and available marketplace supply direct constraints on delivery of the requested speed.
Delivered work and placed orders have separate charges
NiceHash states that buyers pay a 3% service fee on BTC spent on delivered hash rate, not on unspent order balance. Each placed order also carries a non-refundable 0.00001 BTC anti-spam fee; cancelling returns unspent BTC, and replenishing an order does not trigger that placement fee again.
On the supply side, hardware operators connect miners to the marketplace and earn BTC for every share. That makes the marketplace a two-sided system: a buyer pays to direct rented work to a pool while miners are paid for supplied work. Withdrawal fees vary by withdrawal amount and withdrawal option, which is distinct from an order balance or mining payment.
Marketplace control versus a managed cloud plan
NiceHash gives the buyer control over algorithm, pool, price, speed cap and BTC budget, but this control does not guarantee allocation at a chosen speed. The order’s outcome depends on the price offered and the miners available at that moment.
Bitdeer is the contrasting managed-plan model: it publishes provider-defined hash-rate plans with a named miner, fixed duration, listed daily charges and inventory status. NiceHash lets buyers choose a pool and live order terms instead of accepting a provider-set allocation.
