COLLATERALIZED

Platform overview

CoinRabbit is a centralized crypto-asset platform whose core service is a crypto-backed loan: a holder pledges an asset, receives loan funds at a payout address and retains the collateral position instead of selling it. Its unusually broad collateral menu makes the service relevant beyond borrowers holding only major coins.

Collateral choice, LTV and the liquidation buffer

CoinRabbit accepts BTC, ETH, XRP and more than 350 supported assets as loan collateral. Before sending collateral, the borrower chooses the asset, loan-to-value ratio and loan term. The LTV determines both how much can be borrowed and how near the position starts to its margin-call threshold.

A higher LTV produces more loan funds relative to the collateral value, but it also leaves less room if that collateral falls. CoinRabbit monitors the collateral rate, sends email or SMS alerts in its stated risk zones, and offers automatic collateral top-ups to add support to a position.

Fixed-term and open-ended loans

Fixed-term loans require principal and interest by the agreed end date, although they can be repaid early. Open-ended loans can be repaid in full or part without a fixed repayment schedule. Interest accrues monthly from issuance, and advertised rates vary with the collateral asset, LTV, duration and liquidation LTV.

CoinRabbit says fully repaid loans return the pledged collateral immediately. That return depends on the position avoiding liquidation and reaching repayment in full, so the LTV choice and later collateral-rate alerts are practical parts of the loan rather than background details.

No-rehypothecation collateral and a separate savings deposit

CoinRabbit says loan collateral is held in cold wallets with multisignature access and is not reused to generate interest under its no-rehypothecation policy. That is distinct from its savings account, where stablecoin deposits provide lending liquidity and the resulting returns are distributed to depositors.

Savings interest is credited daily and deposits can be withdrawn fully or partly. It is a yield deposit product, not a way to leave a borrower's pledged collateral available for withdrawal.

External-payout loans beside Nexo's Credit Line

Nexo is the closest centralized comparison for a borrower who wants a reusable credit line alongside exchange and card functions in one custodial account. CoinRabbit instead centers the choice on a loan calculator, collateral, fixed or open-ended terms and an external payout address.

CoinRabbit's terms restrict users in the United States, United Kingdom and Hong Kong, among other restricted locations, which is a material limit on that proposition. Aave offers the alternative of wallet-controlled collateral in an onchain lending market, whereas CoinRabbit uses custody and a provider-run loan process.
